I enjoy spending family time going to the beach, kayaking, hiking, biking, campfires, shopping, watching movies, playing games, craft making, baking, attending sports events, and other fun activities. My favorite movie types are: action, drama, thrillers, and romantic comedies. My favorite music types are: contemporary Christian, pop, rock, jazz, and classical. I love to sing and dance. I enjoy learning new things. Mostly I love meeting new people, hearing their unique stories, and using my skills and abilities to help others!
I am a wife and mother, and I love every minute of it! My husband and I celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary this year. We have an amazing daughter who is attending college.
I am a Certified Trauma Practitioner from The National Institute of Trauma and Loss in Children. I have obtained Certification as a Pre-Pare-Enrich Facilitator from Prepare-Enrich offering assessments for Pre-marital and Marriage Enrichment Counseling. I am a Michigan Certified Supervisor for Limited Licensed Professional Counselors receiving my certification through The Mentoring Institute in Portage, MI.

I obtained a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling with a Specialty in Marriage and Family Therapy through Western Michigan University. I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University. I have over 19 years of counseling experience working within the social service field with young children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups. I have significant knowledge and experience in prevention services, foster care, and the court system. My clinical work experience includes outpatient counseling, in-home counseling, foster care counseling, counseling within residential settings, and facilitating agency trainings for staff and parents.
